Wednesday 2/4/26

Hi Everyone ! I hope your week is going well. I have a few thoughts to share :

1. We need to start focusing on Home Altars. This will be a year for Gohonzon Reception, so we need to start preparing the Sangha and getting Home Altar appointments set up. I do not need to be present at ALL of the ceremonies, so please feel free to set it up on your schedule.

2. We will need to talk about which leaders would like to go to L.A. June 5-7 for the NLT English-Language meetings. ALL DTs and Advanced Class grads are eligible. I am required to go. We will need to have enough staff to be here for Service/Hoza on Sunday 6/7. Given the financial situation, we should also decide that 50% of Airfare will be covered by the traveler. There is no rush to decide.

3. In a few weeks, I would like to plan a meeting to discuss the "New" style of Hoza ( Deep Listening / Minimal Guiding ) and how we will accomplish that together.

4. The Nisei Parade date in L.A. has been changed to 8/16/26

5. We are sending Linda Harkness, Lupita Marquez, Joel Flores, Kayla Padilla, Val Rasmussen, and Tenoch Aztecatl to Advanced Sutra Class for the next 2 years. They will need our assistance, of course. Please be available to them. They begin in April at OKC

6. The Parking Lot, Parking Bumpers, Space Lining, and Sign Repair is almost completed. We have a few Handicap Parking signs and 4 more bumpers that need placing. THEN we can move forward and get down to the focus of caring for our Sangha ! Thank you all for your patience and forebearance during these months.

7. I will be in L.A. for the Board Chair meetings with Ms Herrera from 3/26-3/29. Then I will be in Japan in May. I return to L.A. in June and return to Japan again in October and possibly also November. Plus, I will need to travel to install Gohonzons to out-of-state members. It promises to be a very busy year. Let's make it a great year !
